Peakfy vs JOIN
JOIN and Peakfy are the closest comparison on this page: both are modern, adaptive cycling coaches that fit training around your real week. JOIN generates and continuously adjusts your plan from structured inputs — your availability, your perceived exertion after each ride and a readiness rating. Peakfy adds the part JOIN does not advertise: a coach you can talk to in plain language, that explains every number and remembers your whole season.
Where JOIN is strong
JOIN is a genuinely good adaptive coach and refreshingly straight about its methods. It calls itself “The #1 AI Cycling Training Tool” with “adaptive plans and efficient workouts”, and it earns the “adaptive” part: after each session you rate your perceived exertion, and the plan recalculates against your feedback, your readiness and your availability. It is honest about the technology too — their own explainer says “No quick AI solutions, but rigid science-backed algorithms that work for you.” Auto Export pushes every planned workout to Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift or Hammerhead, pricing is a single simple tier, and there is a free trial.
Where Peakfy is different
Two things. First, conversation: JOIN's site does not advertise a coach you can talk to — you communicate with it through ratings and settings, not questions. Peakfy is built around dialogue, with no counters, so you can ask why a session changed and argue with the answer. Second, how far the numbers go: JOIN computes an eFTP but tells athletes not to train off it and to keep testing every three months, whereas Peakfy's FTP estimate, load, zones and readiness are the numbers the coaching runs on, each explained when you ask. Peakfy also ships in six languages to JOIN's four.
Peakfy vs JOIN, feature by feature
Every JOIN claim below was read from their own website on 8 August 2026. Where we could not confirm something, it says “not advertised” rather than “no”.
Peakfy is pre-launch, so it has no ratings or user numbers — and we don't invent any. Pricing is announced at launch.
So which should you choose?
Choose JOIN if you want a proven, simple adaptive planner that is available today and gets out of your way. Choose Peakfy if you want that adaptivity plus a coach who explains the reasoning and answers whenever you ask.
